Gordon Meurer, president of Meurer & Associates, and Keith London, president of Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, announced the joining of the two consulting engineering practices on June 4, 2007.
Meurer & Associates has provided water, wastewater, and recycled water consulting services to municipalities, utility districts, and private clients in metropolitan Denver and Colorado since 1978. The firm has been particularly successful as long-time, full-service District Engineers for over 20 special districts in the Denver area.
Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, based in San Francisco, has 23 offices throughout the western United States, serving clients nationwide. Founded in San Francisco in 1919, the employee-owned firm provides engineering and environmental science consulting services to the Water Environment, Transportation, and Industrial Manufacturing sectors.
“Meurer & Associates has distinguished itself among the many consulting firms in the Denver area,” says Kennedy/Jenks CEO Keith London. “The firm is well known in Colorado for providing excellent client services. Moreover, Gordon Meurer brings a long family history of engineering in Colorado. Those are similarities that our two firms have shared.”
“This is an exciting next step for us,” states Meurer. “We will be able to provide clients with a wider range of services and access to national technical resources. It also offers exciting new career paths for our staff.”
Current Kennedy/Jenks staff in Colorado will move into the Lakewood office, where Meurer will manage the combined Colorado staff. Kennedy/Jenks Consultants staff now totals approximately 560.
