Continuing education and technical growth. Our staff members are encouraged to continue their education and develop skills in multiple ways:
Mentoring. Career paths may blossom over an employee’s work life. These paths may focus on technical issues, management, business development, operations, and/or administration. At the heart of each path are the employee’s mentors. A mentor serves as advisor, coach, and confidant.. In turn, the individual also mentors others.
Reimbursement for tuition and licensing. Support is provided for advanced degrees in the form of tuition reimbursement. Professional certifications or licenses are also supported by reimbursement for study courses and associated fees.
Fostering involvement in professional associations. Kennedy/Jenks believes that professional associations stimulate continual learning and help employees keep current on developments in our field. The company supports active involvement in several professional organizations.
Technical excellence program. We sponsor an all-firm Technical Excellence program each year. Presentations spotlight significant projects or unique solutions.
Nurturing future engineers and scientists. The future of engineering and scientific professions is a shared concern. In many of our locations, professional staff participate in elementary, middle, and high schools and colleges with lectures, coaching for science scholars and fairs, and other ways to demonstrate enthusiasm for the kinds of projects we work on. We hope that through personal modeling, we can steer young people into this rewarding work.
