Dr. Ganesh is a Project Manager in the Applied Research Group with experience in research, design, planning, technology development and project management in potable water, wastewater, biosolids, recycled water and oilfield produced water treatment. He is a nationally-recognized expert in sludge treatment, co-digestion, and nanoparticles research. He shares a patent to use nanoscale polymer additives to improve wastewater sludge dewatering. He combines his significant bench scale and pilot study expertise with his practical experience in leading field studies to meet water quality and regulatory compliance goals for the clients.
Dr. Ganesh has recently served as the project manager/ project engineer for several groundwater, surface water, recycled water and biosolids projects to identify treatment technologies and estimate treatment costs. These include treatment of groundwater impacted with perchlorate, nitrate, iron, manganese and tetrachloroethylene, and evaluation of cost of compliance for utilities and customers in California to comply with potential new MCLs for variety of water quality constituents such as 1,2,3 trichloropropane, hexavalent chromium, perchlorate, trichloroethylene (TCE), 1,2-dibromo-3-chloropropane (DBCP). He has been a project manager/engineer for nearly twenty bench scale/pilot study projects. He is currently managing three pilot/full scale demonstration projects totaling approximately $5 Million for water and wastewater treatment. Dr. Ganesh has significant working knowledge in aquatic chemistry, chemical speciation models, and statistical analyses to address water quality problems.
Dr. Ganesh has several peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations from his wide range of projects. He is also the Principle Author for the Water Environment Federation’s Technical Paper Update (TPU) on Nanomaterials as Potential Sources of Concern in Wastewater.
