Dawn Taffler is Kennedy Jenks’ One Water Practice Leader and on the Executive Committee for the WateReuse CA Board of Trustees, where she serves as the Board’s Treasurer and Conference Committee member. Dawn is presenting with John Wuerth, Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD), to discuss their recently completed Recycled Water Distribution Planning Study. This talk will share how through interdepartmental coordination, the Study streamlined developer conditioning practices, implemented Administrative Code changes and identified a fair and proportionate cost-sharing approach to fund recycled water system expansion.

Steven Dutschke serves as a Data Intelligence and Reliability Engineer for Kennedy Jenks. He is a strategic and tactical asset management professional, experienced in leading cross functional teams, creating tailored communications for large water and wastewater organizations and overcoming resistance to change.  Steven will be moderating a panel with experts from the public sector running large recycled water programs (Mike McCullough, Monterey One Water and  Mehul Patel, Orange County Water District) and  specialists in advanced analytics from the private sector (Jeff Foushee, LyondellBasell and Will Knight, Seeq). This panel will bring together those in the municipal/energy sectors to discuss how advanced analytics can support community acceptance, regulatory compliance, complex treatment processes and guide reliability focused maintenance.
