In designing solutions with and for you, we strive for environmental sustainability, thereby meeting the needs of the present while preserving the quality of life for future generations. We provide integrated design in Environmental, Civil, Structural, Water and Wastewater Process, Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls, Mechanical Engineering and Architecture. Our in house integration in multiple disciplines facilitates integrated project delivery where you have one cohesive team looking out for all of your interests.

Based on our experience, the following issues must be resolved during the design process to ensure a successful project.

Pump Stations

  • Proper understanding of system hydraulics. By creating or utilizing existing hydraulic models of the pressure zone to develop system head curves based on the initial and future water demands and various operating conditions resulting in an efficient pump station design
  • Flexible design that will accommodate current and future demands
  • Noise Mitigation for surrounding areas and possible residential neighborhoods
  • Operational and Maintenance (O&M) issues that may impede operation and maintenance

Reservoirs

  • Geotechnical design identifying earthquake faults and setback requirements; determining the proper over-excavation requirements to allow for even settlement of the reservoir; and, designing the foundation ring to support the reservoir based on the local geotechnical conditions.
  • Accessibility allow maintenance vehicles to safely access and maneuver around the site
  • Drainage to prevent erosion of the access road and storage pad
  • Overflow Pipelines and downstream impacts of the overflow events need to be considered in the design to ensure there is no downstream flooding or erosion.
  • Permitting requirements
  • Interior and exterior coatings are crucial to protecting the steel reservoir against corrosion.

  • CCTV inspection following cleaning of sewer mains and laterals
  • Manhole and lift station assessment and inspection
  • A unique approach to force main assessment
  • Identification of system basins and flow monitoring locations
  • Design and construction of additional access points for cleaning and inspection
  • Trenchless rehabilitation techniques (CIPP, slip-lining, pipe bursting, pipe reaming)
  • Trenchless construction of new pipelines (horizontal directional drilling and boring {HDD and HDB}, microtunneling, pipe ramming, and guided auger boring)
