Lauren Tetzloff Named PNCWA Young Professional of the Year

By

We are proud to announce that the Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association (PNCWA) has named Lauren Tetzloff, PE, the 2025 PNCWA Young Professional of the Year. This recognition highlights Lauren’s technical contributions, leadership, and commitment to advancing clean water infrastructure across the Pacific Northwest.

Since joining Kennedy Jenks (KJ), Lauren has led process modeling and design efforts for several major wastewater treatment projects. Her technical expertise spans wastewater treatment process design, sewer rehabilitation, pressurized and gravity pipeline design, pump design, and construction services. She has also provided engineering services for potable water conveyance, demonstrating her versatility across disciplines.

Lauren’s leadership extends beyond project work. She helped launch KJ’s Wastewater Community of Practice Technical Leadership Initiative, which develops and implements technical standards across the company. She has organized regional process modeling training sessions in Seattle, to enhance modeling capabilities for professionals throughout the region.

Lauren is a passionate mentor and community builder. As a member of the PNCWA Students & Young Professionals Committee, she has organized the mentorship program for three consecutive years, fostering a supportive network for emerging engineers. With this experience, she recently presented at the PNCWA conference about how to better foster inclusion, mentorship, and community in today’s industry.

Colleagues describe Lauren as focused, driven, and enthusiastic about the field. She is known for her thoughtful communication, technical proficiency, and client-first mindset. Her ability to balance multiple demanding projects while mentoring others has made her a role model within Kennedy Jenks and within the broader water community.
