Kennedy Jenks – Seven Years Straight in Support of San Francisco Youth

By

For seven consecutive years, Kennedy Jenks has provided support to San Francisco students as part of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission’s Social Impact Partnership Program.

In addition to direct financial contributions, Kennedy Jenks has helped sponsor programs which include college-bound student campus visits, summer internships and career counseling.  Recipient organizations include the Japanese Community Youth Council, Upward Bound, Educational Talent Search, SF STEM Academy, Mayor’s Youth Employment and Education Program, San Francisco City Works Intern
Program, Maisin Scholars and Young Community Developers, among others.

More than 50 high school junior student participants visited various colleges including UCLA, USC and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo through these programs.  These on-site tours inspire students and provide encouragement to help them select their future post-secondary education destinations.

Noted Kennedy Jenks CEO/President Keith London, “Every child and young adult is deserving of a high-quality education and an opportunity to develop their unique talents.  Whether it’s through an equipment donation, campus tour or access to workplace internships, Kennedy Jenks is delighted to support these young men and women and help to inspire the next generation of leaders.”
