KJ Announces New Board of Directors Members

Paul Chau, Nicole Conner, and Ed Kistner join the Kennedy Jenks Board of Directors, effective immediately.

Kennedy Jenks announced today that its shareholders have approved the nominations of Paul Chau, Nicole Conner, and Ed Kistner to serve on the Kennedy Jenks Board of Directors for 2023.

 

Paul, Nicole, and Ed each bring a distinct perspective to the Board of Directors. With diverse experience across both the industry and the country, their commitment to KJ’s strategic growth is evident and we welcome them to the Board.

Paul Chau  

Paul Chau, of Pasadena, California, is a licensed civil engineer with over 16 years of experience on a variety of water infrastructure projects, specializing in groundwater, recycled water, and conveyance system planning and design.

Chau currently serves as a Client Team Leader for KJ’s California region and is responsible for managing some of the firm’s largest and most complex projects. Previously, he oversaw KJ’s Pasadena office and developed a local internship program.

Chau has a Master of Environmental Engineering and Science from Stanford University and Bachelor of Civil and Environmental Engineering from UCLA.

Nicole Conner  

Nicole Conner is a professional engineer and native Texan with a background in conveyance projects, water and wastewater treatment, water resources, and project management. She has extensive experience working in large, diverse groups and has practical project experience from planning through construction management.

Since joining Kennedy Jenks in 2016, Conner has served in progressive project management roles and is currently the Client Team Lead for Texas. She also is passionate about giving back to the engineering community and is a Past President of the North Texas Section of the Water Environment Federation and a Past President of the North Central Texas Chapter of the American Water Works Association.

Conner holds a Master of Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station and a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering from Tarleton State University.

Ed Kistner  

Ed Kistner of Federal Way, Washington, has over 44 years’ experience in consulting and chemical manufacturing, including 34 years with KJ. Primarily working in the industrial, aviation, and aerospace markets, Kistner has managed muti-million-dollar industrial wastewater and stormwater conveyance, storage, and treatment and utility infrastructure projects.

Kistner joined KJ in 1989 and has served in multiple roles in project, client and operations management. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in several states and a certified Project Management Professional. He previously served on the Board of Directors (1993-1996 and 2000-2006).

He holds a Master of Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame
